Welcome to the Club Francais
de Sacramento
VISIT WWW.FPUSA.BLOGSPOT.COM
An organization for francophiles and francophobes in
the Sacramento area dedicated to the promotion and conservation of the french language and culture. The club is a fusion of two previous clubs: The Causeries Francaise, a cultural group founded more
than fifty years ago and La boule Gauloise founded 30 years ago primarily for the sport of petanque. The cultural aspect of the club consists of social gatherings, particularly for
lectures, dinners and the traditional holidays, such as Mardi Gras, Bastille Day, Armistice and Christmas. The game of petanque is played at the Mather Petanque Courts every Thursday and the 1st and 3rd Sunday
of the month. Its members compete locallly and throughout the state of California. The
club is affiliated with the Federation of petanque USA and the Federation Francaise de Petanque et Jeu Provencal for
participation in World Wide competition .
